The Homer-Center Marching Band traveled to Orlando, Florida from February 15th - 19th and performed at Disney's Magic Kingdom. The trip included stops at Daytona Beach, Disney's Magic Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Epcot Amusement Park. The students had opportunities to see many performances including Disney's Fantasmic and Beauty and the Beast. The trip was an outstanding success and the Marching Band represented Homer-Center proudly. Way to go Wildcats!
The Homer-Center Music Department will be welcoming 225 band students from all over the county on Friday, January 20th for County Band 2017. The one day festival will culminate with a concert at 7PM featuring two separate bands and a very special percussion ensemble performance.

The indoor percussion won the TIA Atlantic Coast Championship this past weekend in Wildwood, NJ. The group worked countless hours in terrible weather to be sure that they put their best on the floor for finals and did they ever. Friday, they learned an entirely new ending for the show and after all of the dust had settled Homer-Center walked out of the convention center as the new TIA Atlantic Coast Percussion Champions with a score of 90.05! This group will only be graduating 3 students going into next year and we are already looking forward to another great season. Way to go Wildcats!
The Homer-Center Indoor Colorguard scored their highest score in school history this past weekend at TIA Championships in Wildwood, NJ. The group worked hard in the wind and rain to better their program and walked away with a 4th place finish and a score of 83.43! This group was amazing this season. Be sure to keep an eye on them to see what the future holds. Way to go colorguard!!!
The Homer-Center Indoor Colorguard won the 2016 Region 11 Championship this past Saturday in only their second year as a competitive unit. The students worked countless hours starting in December and leading up to this amazing achievement and have now brought another championship group back to Homer-Center. The students are now gearing up for TIA Championships in Wildwood, NJ and will be hoping to make finals for the first time in school history and potentially earn a top 3 medal as well.
The Homer-Center Nuclear Percussion took second place this Saturday at TIA Region 11 Championships at Central Cambria. The group really brought the house down with a great performance and set themselves up to succeed at Wildwood. The Percussion will compete in TIA Championship Prelims this coming Thursday with their eyes set on earning a medal in Wildwood for the first time in school history.
The Homer-Center Indoor Percussion and Color Guard groups both brought home 1st place at their competition this past Saturday in Johnstown. In addition to their victories, both groups broke 80 which is a huge milestone for the season and it is the highest score in the color guard's history! The students now set their sights on the Regional Championships, which will be held on Saturday, April 23rd at Central Cambria High School. We are looking forward to a great showing and hope to see a lot of Homer-Center support in the building. Let's Go Wildcats!
